Typical long-term leases run 12 months with a one- to two-month security deposit. Furnished units are common in tourist areas; long-term local rentals are often unfurnished. Ask which utilities are included — electricity and internet frequently are not.
Power stability varies by zone: a building with a full generator ('planta') or an in-unit inverter is worth a premium in most cities.
Budgeting
