Data Retention Policy
Working draft — this legal text must be reviewed by a qualified attorney familiar with Dominican Republic law before launch.
Retention periods
- Account profile, saved homes/searches, messages — kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
- Rental applications and uploaded documents — deleted with your account, or earlier on request once the related application is closed.
- Consent records and audit logs — 5 years after account deletion (legal defense and regulatory evidence).
- Billing records (external provider receipts and verified transaction records) — 10 years, as required for accounting and tax law.
- Fraud evidence tied to open investigations — until the matter closes.
- Security/server logs — up to 12 months.
- CRM webhook payloads — 30 days, then purged automatically.
- Backups — access-restricted, checksum-verified local snapshots retained under the documented 14-day/minimum-copy policy. Same-server snapshots do not protect against total server or disk loss.
What deletion means
Deletion removes your profile and content from the live service immediately and from backups within the rotation window. Records we must keep by law (above) are retained isolated and access-restricted, then destroyed at the end of their period. Data shared with a lister or synchronized to their CRM before deletion is under that party's responsibility; we notify the connected CRM owner to delete the linked contact.
